In many cases, Sandhill is the sole steward of our clients' capital. While it is important to earn a healthy return for our clients, we never lose sight of protecting our clients' capital.
Sandhill is a long term investor. Good investments are hard to find and once we find them, we prefer to keep them. Central to this thesis is the fact that the companies in our portfolios have ample growth opportunities and are able to reinvest their free cash flow at a high rate of return.
Sandhill has been conservative with our clients' capital while generating equity returns that have outperformed the S & P 500 index since our inception. How? We do our own equity research. We talk to CEOs. We read 10-Ks and 10-Qs. We listen to the quarterly earnings calls. We are able to quantify risk. We know what we own.
