Established Team
Edwin Johnston and Matthew Wiens run the investment team at Sandhill. Edwin and Matt are thematic and global in their thinking - trying to understand the trends and themes that will dominate the capital markets over the next few years. As co-founders of Sandhill, Edwin and Matt bring experience and continuity. They have worked together for almost ten years. Together with Larry Stolzenburg, they work to understand the operating and economic characteristics of the companies that they purchase for their clients set against the broader themes the team has developed.

We do our own research. We take the time to understand the business model and economics of the companies that we purchase for our clients. We know what we own.
Risk Adjusted Return
Not only is it important to earn a superior rate of return for our clients over time, but we need to keep in mind how we earn that return. It is imperative to understand the risk associated with any potential return. We insist that our clients are appropriately compensated for taking reasonable risk.
Capital Preservation
Sandhill Investment Management is obsessive about capital preservation. We never lose sight of the fact that we have to protect our clients' capital.
