Brian joined the Sandhill team in 2019 as an Investment Advisor. In his day-to-day role, he works with retirement plans and helps individuals, families, and foundations prudently manage their critical long-term liquid assets. He has earned several designations and accreditations throughout his career, including Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), and Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst® (AIFA®).
Brian grew up in Buffalo and graduated from Nichols School in 1976. After receiving his B.A. from Syracuse University, Brian began his career in financial services with New York Life Insurance Company in Portland, M.E. before joining NYLIFE Securities as a Regional Vice President.
Returning to Buffalo in 1992, Brian joined Fleet Investment Services as a Vice President of Institutional Investments. He moved to Boston, M.A. in 1997 to take a position as Regional Vice President with MFS Retirement Services, the 401(k) division of MFS Investment Management. In 2009, he founded Positive Retirement Outcomes, LLC, providing fiduciary and investment advisory services to employers with 401(k) plans.
Today, Brian and his wife live outside of Boston, close to their two married children and three grandchildren. He has given his time to numerous not-for-profit boards in the fields of education, healthcare, and conservation. Brian currently serves on the Emeritus Board of Ducks Unlimited, Inc., which preserves and protects more than 14 million acres of wetland habitat across North America.
