Promoted to Director of Research 1996. Named Vice President in 1998. Named Portfolio Manager in 2000. Edwin founded Sandhill Investment Management in 2004.
Edwin currently serves as Dean (President) of the Saturn Club and co-chair of the Westminster Church capital campaign. He served as a trustee of the Nichols School from 2008 to 2015 - two years as vice chair and three years as chair of the Nichols endowment. Edwin received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Nichols School in 2019. He has previously served on the board of the Elmwood Franklin School, Westminster Church, the Buffalo Tennis and Squash Club and the Zoological Society of Buffalo.

Founded Stolzenburg, Federspiel & Pfeifer, CPAs in 1983 and ran the firm as Managing Partner until 2003. Additionally, Larry founded Ellis Group, Inc, a business valuation firm, in 1996 and ran the firm until 2006.
Larry began managing client portfolios in 1994 and joined Sandhill in June 2008 as a Partner. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in New York State and has served on the Board of Directors for Christian Central Academy and Bethanie Mission of Haiti.

Since joining Sandhill in 2014, Jonathan’s passion has been identifying the challenges of high-net-worth individuals and families, while developing customized strategies to address their unique set of circumstances. With a focus on entrepreneurial families, Jonathan takes a hands-on approach to help craft business succession and transition plans, evaluate outside investment opportunities, and establish tax aware multi-generational estate plans alongside legal and accounting teams. Additionally, he takes an active role in assuring that children and grandchildren are financially educated and understand the intended purpose of family assets. Jonathan is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designee, attained through the Yale School of Management, and was recognized on Forbes Next-Gen Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list in 2019.
With 15 years of investment and financial services experience, Jonathan brings earned knowledge of entrepreneurship, private equity, venture capital, and investment banking to each client relationship. Prior to joining Sandhill, Jonathan served as Vice President within Citigroup’s investment bank. At Citi, Jonathan had trading coverage responsibilities for 60 institutional clients – totaling over one trillion dollars of investable assets. Jonathan has also built, bought, and sold closely held businesses, along with spending time in private equity and venture capital.
Jonathan earned an MBA from The William E. Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester, and a BS from SUNY New Paltz, where he graduated with honors and served as Student Body President.
Jonathan currently serves as the Chair of the Convergence Council at the Albright Knox Art Gallery and is a Board Member of The BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund.

Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Buffalo in 2003 with degrees in Accounting and Finance. Chris began his career at Lumsden & McCormick, LLP, a regional accounting firm, where he serviced both tax and audit clients in industries such as manufacturing, service, medical and not-for-profit. In 2007, Chris joined Lumsden & McCormick Financial Services, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the CPA firm, where he was responsible for both individual clients and qualified retirement plans. During this time, Chris earned his CPA license, and CFP® Certification.
Chris joined Sandhill as Vice President in 2011 and was named Partner in 2016. Along with managing assets of individual clients, families, trusts and corporations, he oversees the Qualified Retirement Plan business of Sandhill, which consists of plans covering more than 3,000 employees in total. Chris is the President of the Financial Planning Counselors of Western New York and serves on the school board of St. Gregory the Great School. He has coached youth sports in Clarence and at St. Gregory the Great School for a number of years. Chris resides in Clarence Center with his wife, Laura, and four children, Carter, Owen, Hudson and Sawyer.

Shant earned a BA in Business Management from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business in 2010. Prior to joining Sandhill, Shant was a Premier Account Operational Analyst at Central Transport International where he provided strategic consulting for some of their largest relationships, including corrective action planning and efficiency development. Shant joined Sandhill in 2011 as an Operations Officer and was promoted to Senior Operations Officer and partner in December 2012. He is certified in multiple Microsoft Office programs and is an active member of the TD Ameritrade Operations Panel.

Tina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut in 2007. Following graduation, Tina worked for Tradewind Aviation as Director of Charter and oversaw charter sales, aircraft dispatch and client service. Tina left aviation to pursue finance and began working at Gleacher Fund Advisors, a mid-size fund-of-hedge funds, in 2008. At GFA, Tina was responsible for investor relations and investment operations, and supported the COO during an orderly wind-down of the firm’s funds. After moving back to Buffalo, Tina worked for Citigroup, monitoring credit exposure to hedge fund counterparties for Citi’s Institutional Clients Group. Tina started at Sandhill in 2013 and was named Partner in 2016. Tina lives on Grand Island with her husband, Jeff, and three children.

Rick received his BS in Economics and Finance from Canisius College, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and receiving the Nelson D. Civello Award for Most Outstanding Graduate. Rick joined Sandhill after graduating Canisius in 2010 and went on to become a Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2013. He now serves as Treasurer of the CFA Society of Buffalo. In addition, Rick is a mentor to students in the Golden Griffin Fund, a student-run investment portfolio at Canisius and a program that he graduated from. He is also a mentor for Say Yes Buffalo; a program that supports inner city economic development through giving grants to pay for college education.

Mark earned a BBA Finance in 2009 and an MBA in 2010 from St. Bonaventure University. While at St. Bonaventure, Mark led the University’s student-run investment fund known as the “Students In Money Management” (SIMM). From 2010 to 2013, Mark worked for Citigroup Inc., in two different roles supporting sales and trading across various product lines within FIRM’s Institutional Clients Group. Mark joined Sandhill as an Associate Analyst in 2013 and earned his CFA Charter in 2014.

Marc earned a BA in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating Magna Cum Laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Marc has 16 years of experience in financial services with the majority of his career spent at Manning & Napier advisors where he was responsible for servicing up to $1 Billion in client assets primarily in the Western New York region.
Marc brings great passion and integrity in working with individuals, families, and institutions and is truly committed to helping his clients achieve their long-term financial goals. Marc joined Sandhill as a Partner in November 2017.
Marc lives in Clarence Center with his wife, Laurie, and their two sons. Marc and Laurie are dedicated to helping children and families affected by autism.

Tom earned his BS in Finance from Michigan State University. Tom works with individuals, families and institutional clients to develop a customized investment plan to meet their unique needs.
Tom joined Sandhill in August 2016. Prior to joining Sandhill, he was a Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor, for Key Private Bank in Buffalo. Tom returned to Buffalo in 2011 after spending 10 years at State Street Global Advisors in Boston, Massachusetts. He has over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry.
Tom serves as a Director on the OLV Homes of Charity Board. He resides in Orchard Park with his wife, Myrna, and their two daughters.

Traci joined Sandhill as Managing Director in December 2019. In addition to over twenty years of experience in the investment and financial sector, Traci also brings her skills as an entrepreneur and an operational leader. In 2018, Traci founded Sisu Investment Partners where she connected boutique and middle-market investment funds with institutional investors, and launched a podcast called, “The World of Multi-Employer Benefit Funds,” devoted to educating listeners to the ins and outs of these complicated plans.
Traci earned her BS at James Madison University and began her investment career as Western Region Vice-President at Prudential Financial Services. Traci’s outstanding efforts in salesmanship were recognized with a Taft-Hartley Institutional Sales award and she became a 2004 – 2005 Gold Circle winner. In 2005, Traci became the first sales professional hired by EnTrust Capital where she spent the next twelve years overseeing seventeen institutional clients with Taft-Hartley Pension funds representing $1.5 billion in assets under management. Traci looks forward expanding her role at Sandhill where she will continue to grow assets under management and bring quality products to multi-employer pension funds.
Traci has served on the board and supported the Mikva Challenge, is a founding member of CORPaTH, and contributed to Helping Haitian Angels. She currently lives in Southlake, TX, with her husband and two children.

Steve earned his BA from Hamilton College before going on to complete the Executive Securities Program at theSecurities Industry Institute at Wharton. Steve has 29 years of investment industry experience starting with his post as Account Executive at Eppler, Guerin & Turner in Dallas, TX. Steve also spent time at both Prudential-Bache Securities and Shearson Lehman Brothers until he ultimately accepted a Managing Broker position with Southwest Securities. Steve returned to Buffalo in 2002 from the greater Dallas area and was a Sandhill client for four years before signing on as VP of Business Development in March 2013. Steve is very active in the community, volunteering for his church, co-chairing the Major Gifts campaign for Forever St. Francis, serving on the boards of Athletes in Action and Frank Reich Call to Courage, and the Joshua Group. Steve is married to wife Tamara and has three grown sons.

Dave earned his BBA from Ohio University. He brings over 45 years of business experience working with individuals, retirement plans and independent third party investment firms.He began his financial services industry career on Wall Street, before joining Manning & Napier Advisors, where he worked for the last 30 years.
Dave brings both knowledge and insight to clients from his years of industry experience, helping them to achieve their long term financial goals. In addition, he has worked extensively with independent advisors in the Midwest region, consulting with financial planning clientele. He joined Sandhill in January 2020.
Dave lives in Dublin, Ohio with his wife Janna. They have four grown children and four grandchildren. He is active in the game of golf and an advocate of The First Tee program.

Ryan earned his BS in Finance from Columbia College. Ryan started his career in the financial services industry in 2013 at Merrill Lynch. He moved to M&T Securities where he was the Supervisory Principal over four M&T Securities offices in Western New York. Prior to 2013, Ryan worked in the medical device industry for many years. Ryan joined Sandhill as Chief Compliance Officer in March of 2016.

Trisha Graduated Magna Cum Laude from University at Buffalo with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. Trisha most recently worked as a Data Analyst at HSBC and left in October of 2016 to join the Sandhill team as an Operations Associate.
Equity Analyst
Aaron earned his BS in Finance from Grand Valley State University. During college, Aaron served as Equity Analyst for the Seidman College of Business student-run investment portfolio and worked as a Financial Analyst at Eenhoorn LLC, a multi-family real estate company. Aaron has completed Level I of the CFA program and will sit for Level II in June. Aaron and his wife, Jessica, relocated to Buffalo from Michigan and enjoy exploring their new home.
