Since joining Sandhill in 2014, Jonathan’s passion has been identifying the challenges of high-net-worth individuals and families while developing customized strategies to address their unique set of circumstances. With a focus on entrepreneurial families, Jonathan takes a hands-on approach to crafting business succession and transition plans, evaluating outside investment opportunities, and establishing tax-aware multi-generational estate plans alongside legal and accounting teams. Additionally, he actively ensures that children and grandchildren are financially educated and understand the intended purpose of family assets.

Jonathan received his Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) designation through the Yale School of Management in 2019 and his Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) designation through the Exit Planning Institute in 2023. He was recognized as part of Forbes’ Next-Gen Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list in 2019 and featured on Forbes’ Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list in 2021 and 2023.

With 19 years of investment and financial services experience, Jonathan brings earned knowledge of entrepreneurship, private equity, venture capital, and investment banking to each client relationship. Prior to joining Sandhill, Jonathan served as Vice President within Citigroup’s investment bank. At Citi, he had trading coverage responsibilities for 60 institutional clients totaling over one trillion dollars of investable assets. Jonathan has also built, bought, and sold closely-held businesses and spent time in private equity and venture capital.

Jonathan earned an MBA from The William E. Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester, and a B.S. from SUNY New Paltz, where he graduated with honors and served as Student Body President.

Active in the local Western New York community, Jonathan currently serves as a Board Member of the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
